Patient Satisfaction with Pharmacy Services
To ensure pharmacy services attain a high standard of care and service, HSCR assists PHOs and pharmacies with the New Zealand Pharmacy Patient Survey (NZPPS) which was developed as a result of collaboration between HSCR and Nelson Bays Primary Health with assistance from the Nelson Marlborough DHB Pharmacy Advisory Group.
Although in its infancy, and only trialled for the first time in February 2010 in the Nelson Bays area, this standardised survey is set to provide New Zealand pharmacies with extremely useful benchmark data that will correctly identify areas that may need improvement and those in which a particular pharmacy or PHO excels.
