Health Services Consumer Research (HSCR) helps monitor and improve healthcare service delivery by providing accurate, reliable and insightful information on consumers and providers of healthcare services in New Zealand.

HSCR publishes the quarterly New Zealand Patient Satisfaction Index (NZPSI).

Surveys
In primary care, HSCR implements the New Zealand version of the General Practitioner Assessment Questionnaire (NZGPAQ)

In secondary care, HSCR carries out patient surveys on behalf of hospitals, clinics and DHBs and produces the quarterly nation-wide New Zealand Patient Satisfaction Index (NZPSI)

The pivotal role that staff play in the delivery of good quality care is reflected in the many staff surveys HSCR carries out for New Zealand health service providers.
